Well, I'd love to say "fully by advertisements" that's just not true... Where in some cases it can be helpful, a lot of people tend to block ad's or simply don't care about them.
In actuality, most of our funding is provided by user contributions, site sponsors, and from our other sister projects (UGN Security, Back of the Web, The EveryDay Helper, ./Hack).
